Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to publicize the upcoming bout.
Former twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
Despite those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
